New Zealanders have been hugely excited about the reported emails in Nicky Hager’s book Dirty Politics in recent weeks.
Much has also been made of other emails(?) that have surfaced.
It seems the media, as well as the public, have, almost without exception, accepted that these emails must all be real and true, and actually come from where stated.
How absolutely extraordinary!
It is relatively simple to spoof either a sender’s email address or the ‘from’ address. Just ask Google. There is even a Wikipedia article on it how easy it is to spoof emails.
